What is Ayurveda?

WHAT TO EXPECT
WEEK 1
Welcome
You will come together in a group where the principles of Ayurveda and the outline programme will be explained so that you have a full understanding of how the programme will support you and how to get started. You will also have the opportunity to ask questions so that you are fully prepared for success.

WEEK 2
Preparation
Between the first week and this week you will slowly start to eliminate processed foods, caffeine, alcohol, refined sugar and any other foods that may hinder the detox process so that you have the best chance of success through the cleanse week.

WEEK 3
Cleanse
This week is the main cleanse phase where eat easy digestible meals and incorporate Ayurvedic practices to support the release of toxins in the body.

WEEK 4
Restore
As you transition out of the cleanse phase it's time to slowly introduce foods that support your gut to heal and self care practices to nourish your mind, body and soul.

WEEK 5
Rejuvenate
This week you can continue easing into a varied diet that supports your digestion healing process.
It's time to get clear on your goals moving forward and how you will integrate Ayurveda into your daily life so that you can continue to feel the benefits of the cleanse over the following months.

I am a Trauma Informed, Ayurveda Holistic Health and Wellbeing Practitioner, Yoga, Pilates & Meditation Teacher & Breathwork Facilitator.
I became passionate about Ayurveda after a long journey of trying to get to the root of irregular menstrual cycle and hormonal imbalance in 2016.
Ayurveda supported me to get to the root cause and a simple way to heal naturally and get my life back.
Now I want to share the transformative and healing benefits of Ayurveda with as many people as I can and help you reduce the anxiety, overwhelm and stress of trying to find the right solution for you. We shouldn’t need a medical degree or have to spend endless hours scrolling the internet for answers.

What are the dates?
The cleanse starts on Sunday 29th September at 7.30pm until Sunday 27th October. The lives will take on Sunday evenings on 29th September & 6th, 13th, 20th & 27th October.

What if I can’t make the lives?
All sessions will be recorded and available for viewing within 24 hours after the session.
How will I access the course?
A comprehensive cleanse information pack will be sent out nearer the time, containing everything you need to know for the cleanse, including detailed instructions ,zoom links, recipes, and guidance. You will also be added to a What's App group for support, discussions, and updates throughout the cleanse.

What dietary restrictions are involved?
The cleanse typically involves eliminating processed foods, caffeine, alcohol, refined sugars, and dairy products. Instead, you'll consume a whole-foods diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and specific Ayurvedic herbs and spices.
What should I expect during the cleanse?
During the cleanse, you may experience temporary side effects such as headaches, fatigue, digestive discomfort, or mood changes as toxins are released from the body. However if you follow the gradual preparation stage this will help to limit these symptoms.

Can I continue with my regular exercise routine?

Light exercise, such as yoga, walking, or gentle stretching, is generally recommended during an Ayurvedic cleanse. During the active cleanse phase it is advised to avoid strenuous workouts, as the cleanse can temporarily reduce energy levels. It also a great time to just allow your body to rest & restore.
Are there any contraindications or precautions?

Ayurvedic cleanses may not be suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding women, those with severe medical conditions, or those taking certain medications. Always consult your healthcare provider before starting a cleanse if in any doubt.
How do I transition back to my regular diet after the cleanse?
After the cleanse stage you will be guided through the reintroduction of foods gradually and continue following Ayurvedic principles for optimal digestion and well-being.
Can I do an Ayurvedic cleanse on my own, or should I seek guidance?
While some people may choose to do an Ayurvedic cleanse independently, it's generally recommended to seek guidance from an experienced Ayurvedic practitioner, especially if you're new to Ayurvedic practices. They can tailor the cleanse to your specific needs and provide support throughout the process.
